Evie holds undergraduate and Master’s degrees from Clemson University and a JD from the University of South Carolina. Immediately after law school graduation, Evie worked with Protection and Advocacy for the Handicapped, combining both her legal education and her special education background and previous experience as a special education teacher. After taking a break to focus on her three young children, Evie returned to the practice of law in 2005 and assisted a small transactional firm with its estate planning needs, until opening her solo practice in 2012.
Evie is married to Jack Evans and has three adult children. She and her family have been Mt. Pleasant residents since 1984. While her children attended school, she served on various committees with the public schools and served as the PTSO President for Wando High School. She was a member of the Foundation Board for Clemson University for eight years, twice chair of the Diaconate and a member of the Session at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church and is currently a member of the Low Country Food Bank Board of Directors.
